Working on this project made it clear that job searching isn’t just about listings—it’s about momentum. Users often feel stuck not because there aren’t roles, but because they don’t know how to find the right ones or what to do next. This platform aimed to clear that fog. By launch, we saw not just more applications, but more complete profiles, more repeat visits, and more meaningful connections between candidates and companies.
Working on this project made it clear that job searching isn’t just about listings—it’s about momentum. One of the main challenges was balancing speed and relevance in the search experience. With thousands of jobs being added regularly, we had to make sure users didn’t just get results fast—they got results that mattered. We integrated Algolia and carefully tuned the filtering logic to prioritize intent over broad reach, helping users find roles that felt tailored, not generic.
Another important piece was onboarding. Many candidates weren’t ready with polished resumes. Instead of redirecting them elsewhere, we built a lightweight resume builder that felt native to the platform. It allowed users to start where they were, and apply with confidence—even if they hadn’t touched their CV in years.
